There are two kinds of trusts that we deal with at Brian S. Nielson, PLLC. They are the Revocable Living Trusts (RTLs) and the Irrevocable Living Insurance Trusts (ILITs). According to the Colorado Bar Association, a trust is a written agreement where you put legal title to certain property (called the trust property) in the name of the person or firm (called the trustee) to be held for the benefit of yourself or a third party (called the beneficiary.) General preparation for the RLTs and the ILITs begins with compiling information, including: real estate information (personal, commercial, residential, investment), retirement accounts, stocks, bond, cash accounts, money owed to the client, vehicles, household goods, family member’s names, social security numbers and birthdays. With a Revocable Living Trust, you make & change the rules, which you follow, for your own benefit.
A complete Living Trust includes the following:
A Trust Agreement “Pour Over” Will Durable Power of Attorney Medical Durable Power of Attorney Living Will Trust Amendments Quit Claim Deed Trust Execution & Management Instructions
